Sharjah 24: Within the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club's efforts to forge strategic alliances aimed at bolstering principles of collaboration and collective action, and to pursue excellence in scientific research within marine sports, His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Club, has formalised three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Sharjah Academy for Maritime Transport, University of Khorfakkan, and Khorfakkan Sports Cultural Club.
The initial MoU, ratified in the presence of Dr. Hashem Abdullah Sarhan Al Zaabi, Director of the Sharjah Maritime Academy, underscores collaboration in the development and implementation of specialised training courses within the domain of marine sports activities. Additionally, it entails joint efforts in orchestrating championships and maritime events, with the aim of delivering exceptional maritime experiences both domestically and internationally. Further facets of collaboration include joint endeavours in the manufacturing and design of diverse boats, the enhancement of engine efficiency through mechanical and electrical means utilising clean energy, and collaborative endeavours in generating and disseminating specialised research, studies, and technical consultations in boat manufacturing and design.

This memorandum accentuates mutual cooperation in the preparation and presentation of specialised research, studies, and technical consultations within the domain of marine sciences and aquatic biology. Additionally, it encompasses collaborative efforts in organising maritime sports championships, supporting the club in the formation of diverse marine sports teams for university students, and extending tuition fee concessions for various programmes and professional courses catering to club personnel, their families, and players.

The third MoU, consummated with the Khorfakkan Sports Cultural Club in the presence of Salem Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, aims to instigate multiple collaborative initiatives between the two entities aligned with their strategic objectives. This entails reciprocal consultation on any requests or proposals conducive to effective cooperation. Furthermore, it entails extending invitations to each party for participation in training programmes, seminars, and events geared towards advancing the objectives outlined within this memorandum.

The signing ceremony was attended by club representatives including Ahmed Al Qassir, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Ahmed Al Hosani, General Manager of the club; Hessa Yousef Al Hosani, Director of Communication and Marketing Management; and Hebba Shalabi, Executive Secretary.
