Sharjah24: Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has announced the hiring of 20 Emirati workers under the "My Start" initiative, as part of its efforts to recruit and empower native talent to contribute to the UAE's comprehensive and sustainable development process.
In this respect, Fadheela Al Marzouqi, Head of Human Resources at Sharjah Islamic Bank, remarked, "The new employees have been enrolled in a comprehensive training programme aimed at enhancing their understanding of Islamic banking through various courses."
She highlighted the bank's desire to attract and train homegrown talent to play an active part in the country's comprehensive and sustainable development.

Sharjah Islamic Bank received the Learning Culture of the Year Award from the Human Resources and Learning Platform in the Middle East and Africa last year in 2023, adding to its list of previous honours for emiratisation and human resources. Among the most prominent are the Human Resources Awards in the banking sector in 2003, 2005, and 2006; the Dubai Human Resources Development Award in 2006, 2007, 2011, and 2016; and the Human Resources Development Award in the banking and finance sectors in 2017, among others.
