Sharjah24: Fatima Ma’atouq Al Hosani, from the media office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) in Sharjah, stressed that the council's departments are providing 70 interactive workshops at the 15th edition of the Sharjah Children's Reading Festival (SCRF 2024). These workshops cover a wide range of topics including culture, health, and social issues.
She added that various departments, including the Family Development Department and its branches, the Cultural Office, the Health Promotion Department, health-supporting associations, and the Child Safety Department, are actively participating in the cultural event.
According to Al Hosani, in an interview with "Sharjah24", this extensive participation was in line with the guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in the UAE. She explained that the workshops cater to all age groups and are designed for children and families.
She mentioned that these workshops are designed to increase children's awareness of important health standards in the school environment, as well as educate them about different types of abuse and safe and unsafe touches.
Concluding her statement, she invited families and children to visit the council's platform and create enjoyable memories.
