Sharjah 24: Dr. Fadi Ahmed Al Aloul, the Dean of the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) stated that the college hosted its annual graduation projects competition on Thursday to honour excellence and innovation.
He revealed that 21 projects are competing in the college's annual competition, selected from 110 projects spanning seven engineering programmes. These projects tackle significant local and global challenges such as sustainability, robotics, the environment, and renewable energy.
In remarks to Sharjah 24, Al Aloul expressed pride in the students' development of smart solutions to address various challenges. He extended gratitude to sponsors like BEE’AH, the Sharjah National Oil Company (SNOC), and Petrofac for their support in motivating students to conduct research and applied projects that contribute positively to the future of the UAE and the world, making it a better and safer place.
Al Aloul further emphasised the objective of empowering the upcoming generation of innovators, independent thinkers, and leaders who will shape the future. The aim is to offer them a distinctive educational experience both in and out of the classroom, enabling them to thrive as engineers and computer scientists.
