Alia Al Suwaidi: AED30k in prizes for "Shams" e-games tournament

Sharjah 24: Alia Al Suwaidi, Director of Media Projects Development at Sharjah Media City "Shams," confirmed the commencement of the third session of the "Shams" Electronic Games Championship at the Shams Business Centre. The tournament continues for 3 days, until April 28, with prizes totaling 30 thousand dirhams.

She told “Sharjah 24” that the tournament, featuring FIFA 24, Tekken 8, and Super Smash Bros. games, is part of Shams' efforts to elevate the UAE's stature in the global gaming and esports sector.

Al Suwaidi emphasised Shams' ongoing support for entertainment and cultural activities, aiming to position Sharjah as a premier hub for gaming and esports. Attendance is expected to reach 300-500 participants over the weekend.
