Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), confirmed that the FIFA 2022 electronic games tournament, which was organised in collaboration with the Emirates E-Sports Federation and featured 160 participants, concluded, on Sunday, with the crowning of the winners.
His Excellency told “Sharjah 24” that electronic games drew a large number of young people and adults during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that the Shams seeks to encourage and promote electronic games, as well as form collaborations with interested parties in the sector.
The Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams) stressed the continuation of organising this tournament, during the coming period, in addition to a number of activities that will come in the future.
