Sharjah24:The Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Municipalities, Security Affairs, and Public Utilities Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council held a meeting at the Council's headquarters in Sharjah on Monday morning. During the meeting, the committee praised the efforts made by federal and local government agencies as well as volunteer teams to contain the repercussions of the weather depression that affected the country last week.
The committee showed gratitude for the great efforts made to contain the aftermath of the heavy rain and acknowledged the alertness and integrated plans that were implemented on the ground. They also expressed appreciation for the prompt withdrawal of rainwater, which helped minimize the heavy rain's impact on citizens and residents.

The committee also expressed its support for the joint efforts to protect society and provide basic services effectively and sustainably. They highlighted the importance of teamwork and cooperation between various parties to ensure everyone's safety and well-being in light of the existing weather challenges.

Chaired by Jamila Mohammed Al Fandi Al Shamsi, the meeting was attended by members of the Committee: Ahmed Rashid Al Shamsi, Majid Ahmed Al Darwishi Al Shamsi, Fatima Mohammed Khasuni Al Ketbi, Ahmed Obaid Al Awasiya Al Zaabi, and from the General Secretariat of the Council, Amna Basalib, Responsible for Sessions Affairs and Secretary of the Committee.

The committee discussed and reviewed its plan to continue its work within the SCC system. This includes serving the community carrying out several visits and discussions to support the work system in the departments operating in Sharjah, consistent with the specialisations and work of the committee.
