Sharjah Committee Reviews Rental Disputes Law

Sharjah24: The Legislative and Legal Affairs, Appeals, Suggestions and Complaints Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council continued its study and review of a proposed law regarding the establishment and regulation of the Rental Disputes Centre in the Emirate.
This occurred during yesterday's meeting held at the council's headquarters in Sharjah City, chaired by Mohammed Ali Al Hammadi, Chairman of the Committee. The meeting was attended by committee members Mohammed Saleh Al Ali, Hamad Abdullah Al Riyami, Rashid Saleh Al Hammadi, Khalifa Mohammed Bu Ghanem, and Obaid Issa Al Mazmi. Also present from the council's secretariat were Youssef Hassan Al Ali, the council's Legal Advisor and Director of the Parliamentary Affairs Department, and Saif Salem bin Suwaif Al Ketbi, the committee's Secretary.

During the meeting, the committee continued drafting its opinion on the formulation of the law's articles, which had been referred to the Consultative Council by the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph 4 of Law No. 2 of 1999 regarding the establishment of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and in accordance with the provisions of Article 72 of the Internal Regulations of the Sharjah Consultative Council.

The committee expressed its opinion on all articles of the draft law, covering definitions, objectives, competencies, and related matters, including the regulatory mechanisms for authorities, tasks, and roles.

At the end of the meeting, the committee approved its amendments and submitted its report for presentation as part of the agenda for the upcoming session, the eighth session of the council's regular session for the eleventh legislative term.
