AKSC organises a lecture as part of its Ramadan activities

Sharjah24: Al Khalidiya Suburb Council (AKSC), affiliated with the Suburbs Affairs Department in Sharjah, organised, as part of its activities for the blessed month of Ramadan, a lecture.
The lecture was held at the council's headquarters in Sharjah City and was presented by Anwar Al Harmoudi, the Senior Advocate-General and Head of the Sharjah Public Prosecution College, and delivered by Musab Al Kamali, Director of the Economic Crimes Prosecution Department at the Sharjah Public Prosecution College. It addressed the difference between theft and fraud.

The lecture, being attended by several dignitaries, aligned with its societal objectives, representing an important step in raising awareness within the community about crime and justice issues, and enhancing awareness of the importance of combating fraud crimes to protect citizens and residents.

Additionally, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al-Marri, Chairman of the Khalidiya Suburb Council, and Rashid Hamad Al Tunaiji, Director of Al Dhaid Municipality, attended the event, along with council staff and dignitaries from the suburb, were also present.

The lecture touched upon a range of subjects, such as the differentiation between theft and fraud, the consequences of committing fraud, and different forms of fraud, including electronic fraud. The lecture also covered the techniques used to report fraud crimes, the various stages of investigation, and the validity of allegations.

In addition, it emphasised the UAE's dedication to combatting money laundering and recognised it as a leading country that upholds the highest global standards in this area.

The lecture discussed the ever-changing methods and techniques in the world of fraud, highlighting the need for constant monitoring and updating of countermeasures. Within the same context, various instances of fraudulent activities were discussed.

In conclusion, numerous examples of fraud cases were reviewed, including document forgery and email hacking.
