Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi welcomed Dr. Aziz bin Farhan Al Anzi and the attendees, emphasising that the Emirates Creative Association has been organising its Ramadan majlis annually, addressing important life and social issues in an innovative and creative manner that adds a special aesthetic to them and offers solutions and proposals.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Aziz bin Farhan Al Anzi commended the topic selection and media participation in the Ramadan session, moderated by board member Khalid Al Marzouqi. He pointed out that Islam has urged doing good deeds without limiting them to a specific field, encompassing everything that promotes goodness within the community, whether verbally, physically, intellectually, or financially.
He noted that creativity in charitable work has emerged in recent times through innovative and non-traditional methods and approaches to encourage people to give and contribute, especially in the midst of this immense technological revolution. He called on charitable organisations and institutions to keep pace with these new trends and to leverage scientific and knowledge advancements in devising new methods and mechanisms in their work.
Sheikh Al Anzi discussed innovative approaches to charity work, which involve stages such as brainstorming, scrutiny, and strategy development. He highlighted the sustainability phase, inspired by Prophet Muhammad's practice of charitable endowments, which encouraged companions like Umar ibn Al-Khattab and Uthman ibn Affan to contribute their wealth for the benefit of the community.
He pointed out that charitable work has positive effects and significant returns, such as spreading love and harmony among members of society, enhancing solidarity among its various segments, and contributing to the promotion of security, stability, and tranquility in the hearts of the poor, due to the care they receive from the government and individuals through the support provided to them.
Sheikh Al Anzi praised the efforts of the UAE government in launching large-scale charitable campaigns to support efforts to aid and rescue troubled countries and peoples around the world, setting an example in this field.
In conclusion, during the Ramadan majlis, he recommended developing strategies for charitable work and utilising social media channels, which have replaced traditional television stations and other media, to disseminate and understand the goals and methods of charitable work, and to benefit from experienced individuals in presenting their experiences and creative initiatives in this context.
