During the festival’s third week, the SCCI, in collaboration with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), gave away to attendees and shoppers multiple prizes and shopping vouchers, amounting to about AED350,000, as part of the overall prize pool allocated for the festival that is estimated at around one million dirhams.

These incentives were distributed across the various contests, competitions, and entertainment events held by shopping centers and stalls throughout the festival’s pavilions.

Visitors enjoyed a vibrant festive ambience and exceptional Ramadan nights, being immersed in unparalleled shopping experiences that is enhanced by substantial discounts and an array of engaging activities and entertainment shows.

Since its commencement on March 8th, the Sharjah Ramadan Festival has witnessed a notable surge in sales volume across the participating shopping centers and retail outlets, resulting in substantial revenues, amid the increasing influx of visitors who are lured by the artistic and heritage events showcased every year in the festival.

Recognised as a pivotal component of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, the “Ramadan Nights” exhibition continues to feature its competitive offers and special promotions, drawing a large audience of shoppers and visitors, who flock to the Heritage Village to enjoy its heritage-themed programmes and artistic performances.

Visitors also seek to capitalize on the massive discounts, that go up to 75 percent off, across a wide variety of products and merchandise presented by exhibitors.

Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations and Marketing at SCCI and General Coordinator of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, emphasised the Sharjah Chamber’s commitment to make this commercial event a great success. He attributed the event’s increasingly high turnout to the ongoing cooperation between governmental and private entities, which has cemented the festival’s prominence.

He further noted that this collaboration actively stimulates the emirate’s economic, commercial, and touristic activity and development. The event is also a testament to the Sharjah Chamber’s commitment to strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders in the retail sector by providing necessary support to ensure their fruitful participation in the festival, thereby achieving its desired goals.

For her part, Aisha Saleh, the official spokesperson for the Sharjah Ramadan Festival 2024, highlighted that the immersive shopping experiences, enticing discounts, competitive offers, and innovative promotions, alongside the new events and activities showcased by the festival, all contribute to elevating the distinct and successful trajectory of the event.

She pointed out that thousands of shopping centers and retail outlets, in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, compete to offer alluring offers and promotions, including shopping vouchers and valuable prizes.

She added that this competitiveness helps the Sharjah Ramadan Festival fulfill its role in supporting the retail sector.
