Islamic Affairs organises 11110 lectures in the 1st Ramadan week

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department announced the organisation of 11,110 lessons and lectures, in the first week of Ramadan, in the emirate’s mosques; 32 lectures in government institutions, departments and bodies; and 14 virtual lessons and lectures via social media platforms.
The Fatwa Centre in the Department also received more than 900 fatwas and legal inquiries from the public via the toll-free number 8001441. The department also organised a Ramadan night for women, as part of its Ramadan programme, which includes many activities, programmes, and preaching and awareness-raising events that contribute to raising religious awareness among groups and segments of, providing them with an atmosphere of faith, and meeting their needs during the holy month.

His Excellency Abdullah Khalifa Yaroof Al Sebusi, Chairman of Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department, confirmed that the Department prepared the Ramadan programme to include all cities in the emirate and suit all categories and segments of society, given the importance of the blessed month of Ramadan in the hearts of Muslims, and based on its lofty mission that it undertakes in the emirate to promote Islamic culture and religious awareness among members of society.

The lessons and lectures focused on educating the public from all segments about the provisions of the holy month and the most important issues related to the jurisprudence of fasting, through daily lessons in the book issued by the department entitled “Beautiful Pearls in Ramadan Lessons”. The department also introduced lessons interpreting the Holy Quran, explaining the meanings of its vocabulary, and clarifying its rulings, orders and directives. The Department organised awareness lectures to urge the public to contribute to charitable work and explain the virtue of charity.

Based on its lofty mission in society, the department has allocated a number of mosques for non-Arab communities, where these lessons are organised during the holy month, in English, Urdu, and Malaybari.

The department also broadcasts and publishes many thoughts, video and leaflets related to the holy month, through WhatsApp, and through its platforms on Instagram and X.
