Sharjah 24: The programme "The Emirates: Events and History," presented by "Sharjah 24," analyses historical events and occurrences that occurred in the UAE throughout the holy month of Ramadan in eight episodes, with two episodes aired weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The third episode focuses on the Seventieth Dur flood, (Durs are astronomy-based calculation system for categorising days in a year) that ruined many date palm farms.

According to Fahd Al Maamari, heritage researcher and Chairman of the Emirates Library and Information Association, the Seventieth Dur occurs in the second century, where the year is split into 36 "Durs," each comprising of ten days with comparable natural and meteorological qualities. The hundredth falls in the winter, and the weather does not improve.
