Sharjah 24: Brigadier General Ahmed Haji Al Sarkal, Director of the General Department of Police Operations, oversaw the commencement of the inaugural Ramadan sessions organised by the Eastern Region Police Department. These sessions are held under the theme "Family Stability, Security for the Community," aimed at tackling key challenges and risks affecting both families and society.
The event was attended by various officials including Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Ki Al-Hamoudi, Director of the Eastern Region Police, along with government representatives, members of the public, and experts in family affairs.
Al-Hammoudi highlighted the efforts of Sharjah Police in promoting security awareness across different segments of society and emphasising the importance of preventive measures against security incidents. This involves utilising all resources available within the security apparatus to instill a culture of security.
The interactive session, facilitated by journalist Abdullah Ahmed, covered three main topics: "Family Security," focusing on optimal family investment and the significance of positive role models in child upbringing; "Digitally Secure Family," discussing strategies for managing digital challenges and leveraging technology to safeguard children; and "Drugs: A Painful End," which underscored the family's role in protecting children from the harms of drug abuse.
Throughout the session, informative platforms were set up to further explore these topics, with participation from relevant departments such as the Anti-Narcotics Department and the Social Services Department in Khorfakkan, among others.
In conclusion, Al Sarkal expressed gratitude to the speakers and partnering entities for their contributions to the success of the family-oriented event.
