In a report, the authority stated that the number of two-year-old horses participating in the season increased by 68% compared to the previous 2024-2025 season, in addition to a 2.69% rise in total race prize money.
The report highlighted the participation of 167 trainers and 117 jockeys during the season, while the number of active owners and syndicate members increased to 967, representing a 12.8% growth compared to the previous season.
Rashed Al Balushi, member of the authority’s Stewards Committee, affirmed that the combined efforts of the authority’s teams, the adoption of best practices, and the strong cooperation from various racecourses across the UAE were among the key reasons behind the growing success indicators of all events organised during the season.
He noted that the authority is keen to put in place all measures and arrangements to increase participation rates in the new season, streamline procedures, and provide the best services that meet the aspirations and ambitions of owners, jockeys and trainers, reinforcing the UAE’s leading position in equestrian sports and competitions.
He also highlighted the significant efforts made to support the organisation of trial races at various racecourses during the season. A total of 971 horses participated in 26 trial races, with strong engagement from owners and a commitment to ensuring their success in order to test the readiness of horses.
