Sharjah24: In the framework of their ongoing commitment to enhancing community cohesion within the educational sector, the Parents' Council of the Central Region Schools paid a visit to Al Thumaid Nursery. This visit is part of their initiative to engage with various educational institutions, including nurseries.
The Council's aim during the visit was to stress the significance of reading among youngsters, encouraging them to enjoy reading from a young age. This initiative was particularly significant during the ongoing Reading Month activities in March, where the council presented an array of captivating stories to nursery students.

In the presence of Rashid Abdullah Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Central Region Parents Council, accompanied by several members, the children actively participated in a reading activity.

They were presented with enjoyable and educational stories, with the goal of increasing their love of reading and improving their language and cognitive abilities.
During the visit, the children participated in the reading activity with great enthusiasm, showing great attention and delight in the tales that were shared. Their eagerness to listen and participate reflects the positive impact of efforts to promote a love for reading and develop their language skills from an early age.

Commenting on the visit , Rashid Abdullah Al Mahyan expressed pleasure with the visit, stressing that the recent visit to Al Thumaid Nursery has been a truly enriching experience for all parties. He added that the Council’s visits to educational institutions hold a special place in their hearts as they align with the council’s vision to strengthen communication and solidarity across all sectors of the educational community.

"We are committed to fostering and promoting a love for reading among children from an early age, which we strive to achieve through our awareness-raising activities and programmes," Al Mahyan added.
