Mleiha players cultivate wheat for agricultural sustainability

Sharjah 24: Highlighting its commitment to social responsibility and encouraging sustainable development, especially in the field of agricultural sustainability, and to its role in contributing to the development of national efforts towards enhancing food security, Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club succeeded in reaping the fruits of its initiative to grow wheat, with the active participation of the club’s players.
The initiative comes as part of the club’s efforts to support sustainable agricultural development and stimulate community participation in agricultural activities, whereas the club allocated an area of its land to growing wheat.

It is noteworthy that the wheat cultivation comes within a series of initiatives to enhance sustainability undertaken by the Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, with the aim of raising awareness on the importance of agriculture and self-sufficiency in its local community, and encouraging young players and youth to actively participate in social and environmental activities.

His Excellency Muhammad Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Club, expressed his pride in the club’s initiative and the serious efforts made by everyone in this mini-project.

Al Khasouni stressed that the initiative reflects the club’s commitment to translating the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in imparting to generations the importance of agriculture and moving towards developing community efforts in the field of sustainability.

The players expressed their happiness and pride in participating in this noble initiative and participating in the harvest, pointing out that they gained higher values in participating in monitoring the production of this area, which was allocated for growing wheat.
