“Women hold a valued status in our society and play an active role in the developmental process, stemming from the leadership’s vision to realise sustainable community development through the collective endeavours of its sons and daughters. This commitment is clearly evident in the representation of women in the workforce, comprising 66 per cent of the public sector workforce,"Al Mazmi said.
She added, "On International Women's Day, we celebrate the achievements of our nation, which regards women as a pivotal partner in building and development across various fields, including humanitarian, charitable, and volunteer work. Here, we are fortunate to have role models within our society and leadership, serving as exemplars that inspire and motivate others to attain even greater feats and become instrumental in steering the UAE's development journey, where charitable and humanitarian work stands as a cornerstone.”
Al Mazmi stressed, "The countries that accelerate their progress are those that recognise women as a true wealth. It is essential to invest in their energies, develop their capabilities, and expand their participation in all walks of life."
