Sharjah 24: After Al Hamriyah, Dibba Al Hisn and Khorfakkan had celebrated the Sharjah Heritage Days, Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler in Kalba, opened the activities in its 21st edition in Kalba in the presence of Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and many officials, visitors and people of the city.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Muslim expressed his great pride in welcoming the people of Kalba to the festival and its guests, stressing that “these authentic values stem from an authentic heritage with all its roots, customs and traditions, so they are a matter of pride for the Emiratis, and we will remain proud of these days throughout time…the Sharjah Heritage Days Festival is only one of the signs of pride in this immortal heritage."
The activities in the Heritage Village in Kalba featured artistic participation of folk groups, heritage activities for children, a number of educational workshops. The popular market was of great interest to the public as they got to know the nature of the professions, which reflected the Emirati’s attachment to and pride in his land, his patience in achieving his current achievements, and his determination to achieve more based on his living career and distinguished heritage.
