Sharjah24: Al Qasimia University hosted a significant discussion session attended by a group of female students from various universities. The purpose was to explore how student activities contribute to the development and enhancement of students' leadership qualities. This inaugural discussion at the university's Sharjah headquarters was attended Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, and Ahlam Bin Jarsh, Assistant Director of Public Affairs. Additionally, female students from several universities, including the University of Sharjah, the American University of Sharjah, Khorfakkan University, Kalba University, and Qasimia University, actively participated.
The discussion, titled "The Influence of Student Activities on the Cultivation of Student Leadership Traits," commenced with a welcoming address from the university's director, stressing the pivotal role of student activities in fostering leadership qualities. He encouraged the participating female students to fully leverage these activities for self-development and the acquisition of skills that shape their personalities.
During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the importance of student activities for university students. Participants delved into the challenges students might face in organising and participating in such activities, exploring how these endeavours could contribute to the development of leadership qualities and community service. Challenges encountered by students in participating in these activities were also addressed, with discussions on strategies to overcome them.
Furthermore, participants explored the impact of student activities on community service and the personal development of students, aligning with the needs and aspirations of the community. These focal points play a crucial role in fostering effective interaction and communication among students, motivating them to actively engage in student activities for the utmost benefit to both themselves and the community.
The session concluded with the presentation of key recommendations aimed at supporting and enhancing student activities, encouraging students to actively participate, with the ultimate goal of realising comprehensive benefits for students and fostering personal and academic development.
