Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Municipality has set out rules for the use of "Al Mamsha" residential units and parking spaces. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the municipality and Alef Group, the leading real estate development business in the Emirate of Sharjah, to enhance cooperation and coordination on various regulatory matters, including residential and parking's usage in "Al Mamsha".
Al Mamsha project and Centre 06's housing units and parking spaces will be subject to municipal inspection and control to ensure compliance with the regulations and to deter breaches from both residents and visitors. The agreement specifies that the municipality must conduct visits to collect information and reports in order to fulfil its regulatory duties.

Attendees at the signing event, which took place at the main municipal building in the Al Musalla neighbourhood, were Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, and Issa Ataya, CEO of Alef Group.

“This agreement demonstrates the municipality’s dedication to forging strong partnerships with the public and private sectors in order to maintain the civic appearance,” said Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of the Sharjah Municipality. He also noted that the agreement reinforces collaboration with Alef Group to enforce laws that improve the Emirate’s aesthetic appearance.

According to Al Tunaiji, the municipality would be in charge of the residential units and parking places in Centre 06 and Al Mamsha project so that they could offer continuous inspection and control. The municipality will erect twelve directional signs to inform users of the usage requirements.

As per Al Tunaiji, the residential units in Al Mamsha project will be overseen by the municipality in order to avoid or penalise undesirable practices. These practices may include, but are not limited to, the following: keeping pets that annoy or hurt neighbours; noise pollution; improper storage on balconies and hallways; and the use of unauthorised individuals to wash cars.

Issa Ataya, CEO of Alef Group, stressed that this is the first agreement of its kind between the public and private sectors and that it would aid in the enforcement of laws and regulations and the reduction of any negative behaviours that impact both residents and visitors. He lauded the municipality's commitment to enhancing the Emirate's civic and aesthetic attractiveness in addition to its organisational, educational, and regulatory duties.
