Sharjah24: Sharjah Municipality has announced the launch of a new type of public parking subscriptions, which are offered as payment options. This new type allows to obtain a personal subscription for one month only, and for two specific areas. In addition to this, other types of subscriptions are available, with a minimum duration of 10 days up to 12 months. These subscriptions include personal and commercial options for two specific areas or for all areas in Sharjah .
Hamed Al Qaid, Director of Public Parking Management, affirmed that the launch of this type of subscription aligns with the municipality's endeavor to provide its services with ease and convenience, while saving time and effort for users. This initiative is also a response to the high demand from many users who wish to obtain this type of subscription for two specific areas, which can be renewed monthly according to the user's preference.
Al Qaid explained that seasonal subscriptions are one of the payment options for parking fees in Sharjah City, provided by the municipality to facilitate the process for users. These subscriptions are available for specific areas or for all areas in the city. Users can choose a personal subscription for 10, 20, or 30 days, as well as subscriptions for 3, 6, or 12 months, which provide access to 70,000 parking spaces throughout the city.
The Director of Public Parking Management also highlighted that the municipality offers exceptional subscriptions, including a 20% discount for certain categories of individuals, such as retired citizens, elderly citizens, citizens residing in fee-based areas, university students, government employees in Sharjah City, beneficiaries of the Social Services Department, beneficiaries of the Community Development Department, holders of the "Homat Al Watan" card, and "Waffer" cardholders. He noted that applications for exceptional subscriptions can only be made through service centers.
