Sharjah 24: Hamed Al Qaed, Director of the Public Parking Department at the Sharjah Municipality, explained that the municipality signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Alef Group, according to which the municipality organises parking in the Al Mamsha project and the 06 Mall.
Al Qaed stated that the main goal of the MoU between the municipality and Alef Group is to limit any misuse of parking in a way that achieves comfort for the residents and visitors of these areas, indicating that the agreement came based on many comments received from residents and visitors about the necessity of monitoring these projects.
He told “Sharjah 24” that the municipality will confront any negative practices that could affect the population and the general appearance of the emirate, explaining that among these practices is standing on sidewalks, or in parking lots designated for people with disabilities without obtaining a permit.
Director of the Public Parking Department at the Sharjah Municipality added, "This agreement will enhance cooperation with the private sector to keep pace with the urban renaissance and remarkable development in the emirate, and will be the beginning of similar agreements."
