Sharjah24: The Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah, in coordination and cooperation with the penal institution, organized a joint educational course for the inmates of the institution to polish their Arabic language skill and discover its beauty.
The course was the result of an agreement between the Academy, represented by the Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed Safi Al-Mostaganemi, and the penal institution, represented by Major Khalfan Al-Olayli.
The course included lessons based on educational curricula in the Arabic language, focusing on teaching the alphabet through listening, speaking, and writing. It also covered the formation of Arabic words for non-Arabic speakers, as well as meaningful sentences and structures.
Inmates expressed their happiness and satisfaction during the course which brought together thirty-one inmates from different African and Asian nationalities. The course covered many prophetic religious stories, and Quranic interpretations, which deepened their understanding of religion and highlighted the importance of education, especially learning the Arabic language.
