Sharjah 24: The Mleiha Dairy Factory will be equipped and installed by Tetra Pak, according to a contract signed by the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production EST (Ektifa), which is affiliated with the Department of Agriculture and Livestock in Sharjah (SDAL).
In the presence of several senior officials from both parties, the deal was signed by Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tanaiji, CEO of the Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production EST (Ektifa), and Niels Hougaard, Managing Director of Tetra Pak in the Arab area.
Tetra Pak has agreed to provide and outfit the Mleiha Dairy Factory with state-of-the-art machinery for milk production. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabeh Al Tanaiji emphasised that, under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Emirate of Sharjah persists in its endeavours to enhance food security.
He went on to say that the Mleiha dairy facility is only one of several high-quality initiatives that are helping Sharjah achieve food security on a scale never seen before. Organic, non-toxic, and additive-free products will emerge from the factory.
With the Sharjah government's goal of building the Mleiha Dairy Factory to the highest international standards in mind, Hougaard said his company is happy to collaborate with the Sharjah government.
