SEDD Launches National Entrepreneurship Exhibition in Kalba

The exhibition aimed at supporting national sector and commercial projects for entrepreneurs as well as to empower holders of “Eitimad” domestic licenses which falls with SEDD strategic plans and objectives. Also, the Exhibition would take place from January 31st to February 5th with the participation of 70 exhibitors. The exhibition aims to provide an integrated business platform for entrepreneurs and national projects, whether with domestic or national commercial licenses. The exhibition also seeks to highlight successful business experiences and innovative projects that contribute to supporting the economic sector of Sharjah and motivate entrepreneurs to innovate by establishing their own brands.

Commenting on that, Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, SEDD Chairman, said that holding the exhibition in the city of Kalba is a pioneering step to activate the contribution of this sector to the economic return of the emirate. He added that such thing comes as an implementation of the sound vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohmmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, to support citizens to enter the market and support their businesses, initiatives and ideas to attain success and sustainability. 

To continue with, he emphasized that the exhibition provides an opportunity for citizens of SMEs to display their promising products and projects and promote them to raise the commercial level of their activities and encourage local investment to reach heights of success and sustainability.

In addition, he pointed out that such exhibitions specialized in displaying and marketing products and services contributes greatly to spreading the culture of entrepreneurship, as the exhibition is considered one of the Department’s ongoing initiatives that aims to support and encourage national projects among various groups and involve them with each other. This is done to exchange experiences and achie  cooperation, and to provide entrepreneurs with the opportunity to promote their products and services and help in marketing them, thus encourage them to achieve sustainability for their projects and to introduce them to the public. 

On the other hand, Ahmed Saif bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commerical Affairs Department at SEDD, pointed out that SEDD work to empower citizens who own projects and SMEs, to achieve success in national entrepreneurship in the country in various economic sectors.

Al Suwaidi also said that the exhibition enhances the culture of entrepreneurship, instills entrepreneurial thinking among young people, develops a generation of successful entrepreneurs, and provides them with the tools and knowledge that will help them enter the business world through innovative projects based on scientific foundations and strategies, where participants display their innovations and creativity in an interactive and competitive platform.

Moreover, Al Suwaidi stressed that organizing this exhibition comes as a continuation of SEDD efforts to optimally use exhibitions as one of the best promotional and marketing mechanisms that support entrepreneurs. He added that the exhibition will provide many activities, events and products, in addition to being a unique opportunity for shopping, as the exhibition allows exhibitors and participants the opportunity to present and display their distinguished and diverse commercial products.
