Sharjah 24: Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), carried out a number of inspection visits to the department’s branches in the central and eastern regions, with the aim of reviewing the progress of work and closely examining the development proposals that would develop the work and upgrade it to meet the needs of the region.
During the tour, Al Mahmoud was briefed on the progress of work in those branches and the most prominent efforts and services provided to investors, consumers and economic establishments. During the visit, he met with the heads of the branches and discussed with them ways of developing services to ensure the growth, prosperity and sustainability of the economic situation in those areas.

These visits come within the framework of the inspection tours carried out by Al Mahmoud to all branches of the department across the various cities and regions of the emirate, with the aim of being present directly at work sites and holding periodic meetings with employees from all departments and organisational units of the department out of belief in the development efforts in all cities and regions of the emirate, which are being implemented in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and with the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council, and in line with the development projects that are successively launched in these areas, which contributed to facilitating and accelerating transportation, and enhancing the volume of investments in the central and eastern regions in various business sectors.

All branches of the Department work to provide all their services under one roof, which makes it easier for the public to complete transactions, whether by visiting one of the department’s branches or through the advanced digital services package on the department’s smart application or via the department’s website www.sedd.ae. It is also possible for the department's customers to complete their transactions through service centres contracted with the department.

Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud stressed that the “Central and Eastern” regions are considered among the important investment areas in the emirate, due to their environmental, social and economic richness, stressing that the Sharjah Economic Development Department is moving forward towards achieving its goals of comprehensive development in the various cities and regions of the emirate.
