Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) organised a training workshop titled “Security Sense,” with the participation of 35 commercial officer employees, and in cooperation with the Sharjah Police General Command.
The course aimed to provide training and qualification for commercial officers to hone their skills, according to the latest data that aims to enhance the participants’ ability to improve the security sense and understand the correct methods for facing different situations.
The course, which was held in the department’s main building, reviewed a number of topics, the most prominent of which was introducing the security sense and the mechanisms that enhance commercial officers’ ability to understand body language with the aim of increasing their capabilities in monitoring information that threatens the safety of society, as well as enhancing participants’ abilities to sense security by understanding its foundations, how to develop it, predicting risks, and responding quickly.
For his part, His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, said that the department’s annual training plans include holding a series of courses that include all the different aspects of the department’s employees with the aim of developing their job capabilities.
His Excellency stressed that holding such courses aims to strengthen and qualify the cadres of the supervisory department on professional and legal grounds, and to enhance their role and raise the technical and professional level of workers in various fields, contributing to creating a qualitative shift in developing the work mechanism and improving performance, which in turn is reflected in the quality of the services provided.
His Excellency added that the programme is characterised by a combination of practical and theoretical training, contributing to developing the capabilities of commercial officers and providing them with basic skills, to ensure that they perform their supervisory role with high efficiency, which is their primary task.
At the end of the workshop, His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the SEDD, honoured the lecturer, praising his efforts in providing the latest information and the latest developments in this field.
His Excellency also praised the efforts made by the Sharjah Police General Command in preparing and implementing distinguished training programmes to qualify cadres and raise efficiency, readiness and security awareness among various segments of society.
