Sharjah 24: The Department of Agriculture and Livestock merged the second and third phases of the wheat farm project in the Mleiha region, within the framework of achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to strengthen the food system and provide it with healthy products.

In the new phase, 25 agricultural lines were added, bringing to 37 the total lines, to cover the entire farm with an area of 1,900 hectares, and the use of 300 tons of high-purity seeds and 24,000 tons of organic fertiliser before planting.

The experience of the Emirate of Sharjah in wheat cultivation is considered one of the successful experiences in food sustainability and the development of the agricultural sector. Sharjah “Seven Sanabel” wheat is distinguished by being the highest in protein content, and free of toxins, pesticides and substances harmful to health.
