Sharjah 24: Abdullah Al Marashda, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Services in the Kalba Municipality, stressed the municipality’s keenness to promote a culture of agricultural and environmental sustainability, and to spread awareness among various segments of society about the importance of increasing the green area.
The Kalba Municipality, in cooperation with the Wadi Al Helo Public Library, organised an educational workshop entitled “Agricultural Sustainability” at the library, in the presence of a number of officials, school students, and residents of the region.
Al Marashda stressed the municipality’s keenness to promote a culture of agricultural and environmental sustainability, and to spread awareness among various segments of society about the importance of increasing the green area.
He added in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the workshop, which came within the municipality’s strategic plan, aimed to introduce participants to modern and efficient irrigation systems, and to beautify public and home gardens.
