Sharjah24: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority's Al Wusta Channel from Al Thaid, has revealed details about its upcoming programme lineup scheduled to commence on 9th January. This lineup comprises 26 programmes and showcases notable Gulf and Arab dramas. The channel's objective is to fulfil its vision by providing high-quality, purposeful, and captivating media that contributes to enhancing awareness of Emirati societal values.
Across a range of programmes encompassing cultural, heritage, social, religious, and sports themes, the channel mirrors its vision of actively participating in the cultural advancement of the central region in the Emirate of Sharjah. The new programme lineup is centred on offering diverse media content to cater to the interests of various audience segments, aligning with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority's vision, which prioritises purposeful and constructive media as the essence of its media mission.
Prominent programmes in the new lineup include "Al Arabah," focusing on the local desert dialect and exploring its uniqueness and connections with other environments in the country. "Memory of the Desert" takes viewers on a journey to discover ancestral lives, linking the past with the present in the central region and emphasising its rich historical legacy. "Memory of Place" delves into the history of personalities and locations in the central region, shedding light on important aspects of their stories, information, and anecdotes stored in the memories of the region's inhabitants.
The new lineup also features programmes such as "People of the Camels," exploring the deep-rooted relationship between camels and desert inhabitants, and "Season of Life," highlighting the plants that characterise the region.
