Sharjah 24: A delegation of Dar Al Aman employees of Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) visited Ownak Social Rehabilitation Centre of the Community Development Authority (CDA) in the Emirate of Dubai.
This comes with the aim of conducting benchmarking, learning about the best practices followed in the centre, and exchanging experiences in the field of preventive and curative services for groups at risk as a result of drug and psychotropic substance abuse
Fatima Ismail, Director of Dar Al Aman, indicated that the visit comes within the framework of the SSSD’s ongoing interest, in supporting this category, by breaking free from that bad habit and preventing the development of addiction among young people or drug users, thus seeking to help those recovering from addiction, in addition to raising awareness among the public about the dangers of addiction.
Dar Al Aman employees reviewed the most important procedures related to the subsequent care of those recovering from addiction and their families, by learning about the mechanism of psychological, social, and religious rehabilitation services, recovery guidance, and the most prominent integration and empowerment programmes for those recovering from addiction and their families, to benefit from such efforts in enhancing the work of Dar Al Aman.
