SSSD participates in SPGC “Human Rights Best Practices Forum”

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) participated in the Best Practices Forum in the “Human Rights Best Practices Forum”, organised by Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), on Tuesday, December 12, within the the Department’s firm commitment to promoting human rights, improving the quality of life, well-being and decent living, and ensuring the protection of those without social care.
During the forum, the Department gave a comprehensive presentation on the best practices and services provided to different society segments, in addition to the basic rights, namely the “right to live decently,” “the right to live with dignity and humanity,” “the right to protection,” and “the right to survive", and the right to development."

During its presentation, the department also highlighted its successful experiences and projects that contributed to improving the quality of life for target groups, in addition to innovative initiatives and programmes that contribute to promoting human rights.

Dr. Jassim Al Hammadi, Director of Knowledge Management at SSSD, noted that the Department’s participation in this forum reflects its permanent commitment to pursuing the latest innovations and effective practices that enhance national and international efforts to achieve sustainable development goals related to social development and the well-being of society.

Al Hammadi explained that SSSD contributes with its efforts in the community and humanitarian field, by providing monthly social assistance to those who are eligible, sheltering the elderly and children who have lost social care, providing home care and protection services for the weak, in addition to social security through social assistance, and empowerment with professional skills.
