Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) has successfully updated the information of recipients of social security services. From January to November of the current year, data for 14,638 beneficiaries has been revised, showcasing the department's dedication to providing a decent life for beneficiary families and streamlining the process of accessing social services.
Consistently, the department employs various means for updating beneficiary data, including remote, field, and phone updates. Moreover, it utilises multiple strategies to simplify the procedures for benefiting from social assistance. This includes proficient social workers, referred to as "case managers," who actively engage in updating beneficiary data.

As per Alia Al Zaabi, Director of the Social Aid Department, the department is committed to regularly updating beneficiary data to comprehend their situations and identify any changes in their lives. Social workers either visit beneficiaries directly or schedule video calls, meticulously recording all changes that transpire throughout the year. This electronic updating is facilitated through the department's connectivity with relevant government entities, ensuring a seamless and electronic adherence to established working systems.

Al Zaabi underscored the importance of data updating in grasping the needs of beneficiary families, establishing priorities, and creating plans based on solid foundations. She affirmed that the department is equipped with high-quality technological systems, such as tablets for Emirates ID reading and digital fingerprinting. This allows social workers to record and update data with ease and precision.

The Social Aid Department also strives to aid various groups through a series of initiatives, including retirees, individuals with disabilities, and economically disadvantaged families.
