Sharjah 24: Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Director of the Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS), confirmed that the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah is a scientific and knowledge academic beacon specialising in the Holy Quran and its sciences. It contributes to the development of human civilization, enhances its values and identity, and reflects Sharjah’s vision and mission for humanity.
This came during his visit to the academy with ALEGS Board of Trustees’ members. The visit comes within the programme of the Gulf delegation’s celebration of the International Arabic Language Day in Sharjah, as well as on the occasion of holding the twelfth meeting of ALEGS’ Board of Trustees at the Centre’s headquarters in Sharjah.

The delegation includes ALEGS’ Board of Trustees members including Dr. Ibrahim Al Zaben, Dr. Majid Al Hafi, Hassan Al Nuaimi, Dr. Anisa Al Saadoun, Badriya Al Marzouqi, and the poet Hilal Al Shayadi, the guest participating in the celebration. They were received by His Excellency Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Holy Quran Academy, who welcomed them and gave them a detailed explanation of the Academy, its museums, and its scientific and research projects. Al Hosani took the delegation on a tour of the Academy’s museums and corridors, during which he showed them manuscripts, rare copies of the Holy Quran, and Kaaba kiswahs.

Dr. Issa Al Hammadi said that the academy was built to be the best in all aspects. The beauty and greatness of the place comes through its source, which is evident in the greatness of the Holy Quran, the sciences of recitations, the famous reciters’ possessions, Kaaba kiswah and the manuscripts on which the Noble Quran was written, starting from the era of prophecy all the way to the modern era, which reflects the interest and vision of His Highness. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, in serving the Holy Quran and its sciences, introducing them and disseminating them.

Al Hammadi pointed out his great admiration for the manuscripts on which the Holy Quran was written. Because it talks about the mixing of Arab civilization with other civilizations, which constitutes a new, creative civilization.

Al Hammadi stressed that the Holy Quran Academy is a great Eastern edifice, the greatness of which is evident from the Holy Quran, as it is a scientific, cognitive and cultural message from Sharjah to the world, aiming to elevate people with authentic and divine values, as well as with the research and studies contained in the Academy.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Issa Al Hammadi and the Gulf delegation thanked and appreciated the Holy Quran Academy and all those in charge for the good reception and generous hospitality that the delegation received during the visit, as well as for their efforts in the Holy Quran Academy, which was honoured with special patronage and great support from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
