Sharjah24: As part of its ongoing mission to safeguard the Arabic language and strengthen its presence among the younger generation, the Arabic Language Protection Association in Sharjah has launched its special summer programme titled “Our summer is Arabic… in eloquent tongue,” under the association’s broader 2025 slogan: “Towards an aware society… that reads.”
Inspiring start to a meaningful programme
The first activities began yesterday at the association’s headquarters in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and positivity, with the participation of children and young people eager to develop their language and cognitive skills.
This programme is a qualitative addition to the association’s year-round initiatives, aimed at nurturing a generation that values its language and recognises its role in shaping identity and enabling intercultural communication.
Fusing tradition with innovation
The programme blends a renewed vision of Arabic language values with personal development, offering carefully designed interactive workshops that meet the needs of today’s youth. These workshops link Arabic to fields such as technology, creativity and critical thinking—aligning with the association’s goal of creating an innovative learning environment where Arabic is a tool for expression, deep thinking, and engaging with modern knowledge.
Diverse themes and practical outcomes
Activities cover a range of topics including positive thinking, self-confidence, focus, emotional regulation, and public speaking. Artistic and technical workshops allow children to transform Arabic stories into interactive digital projects. The programme concludes with a showcase of creative works.
Expert-led and child-focused
Running until 16 August 2025, the programme consists of two weekly sessions over four weeks, led by experienced educators and specialists in Arabic, personal development, and modern educational techniques. The environment is designed to be psychologically supportive and developmentally appropriate.
Commitment to cultural identity
The association emphasised that this programme continues its awareness journey to preserve the linguistic and cultural identity of future generations through relevant, real-life projects that connect children to their native language. It also called on parents and interested parties to register soon via official channels due to high demand since the announcement.
