The signing took place, Wednesday, in the educational capital, Al-Khalidiya district, affiliated to the Ministry of Education in Kuwait. KSAL was represented by Dr. Amal Barak, chairman of the Association and His Excellency Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of ALECGS.
The agreement included cooperation in the field of activities, exchange of publications, participation in conferences, and cooperation in the field of learning and teaching the Arabic language.
The agreement focused on achieving integration between the two sides and working on developing roles in the areas of the Arabic language, studies and activities.
After the signing, Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi gave a lecture entitled: ALEGS: Establishment - Objectives - Achievements - Publications.
The lecture was held at the Arabic Language Training Centre in the educational capital, Al-Khalidiyah district, affiliated to the Ministry of Education in Kuwait.
During the lecture, Dr. Issa Al Hammadi touched on the aspects of establishing the centre in 2013, after the approval of their Excellencies the Ministers of Education of the GCC at their meeting in Muscat in 2007.
Al Hammadi indicated at the beginning of his lecture that the centre enjoys the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who kindly granted the Centre a building and a headquarters, in the University City of Sharjah, and over the past ten years, the Centre organised four Arabic Language competitions for general education students, which is a competition in the Arabic language between secondary schools’ students in the member states.
Al Hammadi touched on the more than forty-five studies issued by the Centre, which were turned into training packages. The Centre also organised different training courses for specialists, as well as organising activities that promote teaching the Arabic language in the Member States.
Al Hammadi concluded by thanking the attendees and the administration of KSAL, supporting the preservation and advancement of the Arabic language identity.
