Sharjah24: The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club (SSDSC), chaired by Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Owais, convened last night to assess the club's 2024 goals and strategies, including a plan to expand the reach of taekwondo in alignment with the vision of the Sharjah Sports Council.
Al Owais commended the club's efforts related to the nomination for the Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi Award for Sports Excellence, contributing to winning four historical awards. The club's Taekwondo development project, he said, has multiple main directions, including finding and developing more local talent, offering indoor and outdoor training camps, and competing in big tournaments to showcase players' abilities and evaluate their progress.

The meeting concluded with the approval of plans to host a self-defence sports festival in the middle of January.
