Sharjah24: The new contests of the Ruler's Tag Camel Race began on Wednesday, December 13th, organised and regulated by the Sharjah Racing and Equestrian Club. The Al Dhaid Racecourse witnessed heated races between four-year-old camels owned by sheikhs and tribal members over 18 laps. The race was 3 km long and drew a big audience of camel owners and fans.
Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, stated, "Since its inception, the Ruler's Tag Camel Race has seen significant participation from owners of purebred camels from the UAE and GCC countries."
