Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) held a forum for the non-profit sector for civil institutions, targeting institutions throughout Sharjah.

The first forum aims to introduce the tasks of the Licensing and Social Work Department towards institutions and associations of public benefit, and to assign the department to follow up and control them.

Kholoud Al Nuaimi explained the conditions for incorporation and the implementation of the provisions of the federal law related to institutions, which defined the role of both the Ministry of Community Development and the competent local authority in Sharjah, the conditions for membership and the holding of general assemblies, the organisation of the activity mechanism of associations and institutions according to specialization, and the financial control mechanism.

Maha Al Ali, Director of Government Communications at the SSSD, announced the launch of the “Nas Sharjah” platform to support the activity of institutions of public benefit and highlight their role. It is a media platform concerned with covering, producing, and publishing all efforts made in charitable and civil support in Sharjah. The account name is “nas.sharjah”.
