Sharjah 24: For two weeks, a series of lectures explaining the Al-Muqaddimat-al-Jazariyyah (Al-Jazariyyah Introduction) was launched in Sharjah by the Sharjah Islamic Forum. The event comes within the emirate’s cultural aspirations to spread the sciences and knowledge of Islamic teachings, and enhance religious awareness among members of society, as the Al- Jazariyyah Introduction is widely known in the Islamic world. Many reciters of the Holy Qur’an rely on it to learn the rules of Tajweed.
Dr. Majid Bushalibi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Islamic Forum, stressed the importance of the activity, saying the series of lectures on the Jazariyyah Introduction focuses on the project of establishing Islamic culture and knowledge of the Holy Quran in the emirate, by organising many events and programmes targeting various segments of society.
He added that enhancing religious awareness among members of society, and preparing a generation of Muslims aware of their religion and culture, is one of the most prominent priorities of the Foundation's cultural work over decades of serving the sciences of the Holy Quran and the knowledge of Islamic civilisation, as this series provides an opportunity for more than 450 participants to develop their Tajweed skills.
Dr. Wael Mohammed Atiyah, assistant professor of recitations and an expert in the science of Tajweed, explained Jazariyyah in various aspects and topics related to the science of Tajweed.
