Sharjah 24: Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, visited, on Wednesday, Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), the largest South Korean television and radio broadcaster.

During his visit, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed learned about the main field of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, which means “culture”. 
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed was informed about the best practices implemented by MBC in communication, whereas it reached various continents.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed watched a documentary on MBC specialties and modern technical fields it works on, to keep pace with developments in science and trends, and to reach all businesses and categories.
The visit discussed common areas and opportunities between media institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah and MBC, which previously began by signing an agreement with Sharjah Media City (Shams).
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi toured the studios of MBC, looking at the equipment and tools it contains, equipped with all modern technologies which contribute to presenting content in a professional manner.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed learned about the work mechanism followed in the studios and the procedures that regulate the succession of programmes, and providing all the needs of those working to prepare and present television programmes. 
His Highness also saw many of the technologies that characterise the studios, including high-specification screens, self-propelled filming equipment, and others.
MBC, which was established in 1961 AD, is a national network that includes more than 15 television channels and 10 radio stations with diverse specialisations that combine news, entertainment, drama, sports, economics, and others. It also plays an important role in transmitting local and international events.  Using modern methods and technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, MBC was able to reach a global reach across modern platforms.
During his visit, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi was accompanied by Dr. Khaled Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City “Shams”, Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri, Secretary General of the Sharjah Media Council, and Rashid Abdullah Al Aoubad, Director of Sharjah Media City “Shams”, Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, Director of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA).
