Sharjah24: In alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the organising committee of the 17th edition of the Emirates Children's Theatre Festival (ECTF) has recognised the distinguished Emirati artist "Budoor Al Saayi" as the Festival Personality. This acknowledgment is in celebration of her significant artistic contributions and clear impact on the local theatre scene in general.
Budoor Mohammed Al Saayi has stood out prominently in the world of theatre, particularly in the Emirates Children's Theatre Festival, since her debut in 2009 with the play "Yasmine and the Evil Genie." Subsequent productions, including "Cinderella and I" in 2010, "The Clowns" in 2017, "The Game" in 2018, and "The Flower Seller" in 2019, have earned her numerous awards for her exceptional performances, creating a lasting impact on the memories of theatre enthusiasts, critics, and audiences.

Over her theatrical journey spanning more than two decades, Budoor has presented a multitude of theatrical productions, commencing with "Academic Genie" in 2003 and making significant contributions to Sharjah Theatre Days since 2006 with the play "Salama," which marked her first acting award. Her contributions include plays that have become milestones in the history of Emirati, Gulf, and Arab theatre, such as "The Day's Journey," which won the Best Production Award at the Sharjah Theatre Days 2022 and the Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi Award for Best Production in Morocco at the Arab Theatre Festival 2023. Additionally, she has been recognised for her roles in plays like "Naharat Aloul" in 2014, "Do Not Narrate Your Dream" in 2015, "Ghassat O’boor" in 2017, "Zaghanboot," and "The Interpretation of Bint Yaqoot," both in 2023.

Throughout her illustrious theatrical career, Budoor has received over 20 theatrical awards for her acting and has collaborated with various theatrical directors. The artist will be celebrated at the festival's opening ceremony on December 17th, accompanied by a documentary showcasing her theatrical journey and the significant milestones that have shaped her theatrical experience.
