Sharjah24: Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) highlighted its role in the 2nd edition of the Global Media Congress, represented by several departments and centers affiliated with it, stressing its effective role in enriching the media sector in the UAE and its influence at the international level.
Abdullah Ahmed Al Naqbi, Head of the Operations Department at the Sharjah Contact Center, stated that the Sharjah Contact Center of SGMB participated in Global Media Congress, as the center’s platform provided an idea about the role of call centers, the information they provide, and the way to communicate with them.
Abdullah Hassan Al Yasi, Head of the Media Relations Department at SGMB, pointed out to the Smart Media Platform, which is an initiative launched by SGMB with the aim of unifying the media work of government departments in the emirate, affirming that it contains media centre, media publisher and media monitoring.
Abdullah Al Yasi affirmed, in special statements to "Sharjah 24", that SGMB is revising this year the developed version of the Smart Media Platform to review posted or shared contents on social media platforms via AI, where the outcomes are evaluated to determine whether they are positive or negative to rectify misinformation or inaccuracies that may impact the Emirate of Sharjah.
Hassan Ahmed Al Jasmi, Head of the Events Department at SGMB, explained that the SGMB’s platform contains many departments and centers, including “Al Majaz Amphitheatre” and “Khorfakkan Amphitheater,” and through this platform, the public was introduced to the role of theaters in the emirate and the most important achievements and activities it contains, including the “Hala Al Majaz” festival and the “Hala Khorfakkan” festival.
Sumaya Abdul Aziz Al Arif, a marketing executive at the SGMB, stated that the Marketing Department at SGMB participated in three platforms: the International Photography Festival “Xposure”, “Hadara” magazine, and the “Sharjah Events” website, as these platforms reflect the vision of SGMB in promoting cultural awareness and communication.
Sumaya Al-Arif added that these platforms aim to highlight the cultural and artistic diversity that the Emirate of Sharjah enjoys, and shed light on the distinguished cultural and artistic events that take place in it, and through the “Xposure”, a platform is provided for international and local photographers to display their work, while the magazine provides rich content that reflects the cultural and civilizational heritage of the emirate, and “Sharjah Events” website serves as a main window to introduce the various events and activities organized by the government and other parties in Sharjah.
