Aisha Al Ali achieved a record, at the national level, in the women’s Olympic recurve bow category, by obtaining 621 points, exceeding the Olympic threshold set at 610 points, by 11 points.
The player expressed great happiness with her historic achievement, stressing that her goal is to officially qualify for Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, especially since she rose in her world ranking by 74 points and her Asian ranking by 30 points, after the new international ranking was issued following the recent Thailand Championship.
Aisha Jassim Al Ali thanked the UAE Archery Federation, the UAE National Olympic Committee, Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), and Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, for accompanying her and harnessing all the conditions for success and brilliance.
Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Club, was keen to congratulate Aisha Al Ali, on her unprecedented achievement.
The President confirmed that the club’s Board of Directors will work, in coordination with the UAE Archery Federation and SSC, to establish a special programme for the player to achieve the desired goal of reaching Paris 2024 Summer Olympics
