Sharjah24: The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club (SIMS) recently took part in the World Travel Market held in London from November 6th to 8th. The event was supported by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. The participation was intended to highlight the club's important role in the marine sports sector in the Emirate. It showcased the club's achievements and activities in different cities of Sharjah, emphasising their significance in promoting tourism.
The Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Ahmed Al Hosani, highlighted the significance of taking part in these exhibitions. He emphasised that the global market platform provides a valuable and exclusive opportunity to showcase the club's contributions on both local and global levels.
According to Al Hosani, the club's recent participation marked their third time attending the event.. During this event, they showcased a range of marine sports equipment. The main objective was to establish connections with different entities and institutions on an international level. In addition, the Club provided them with an introduction to the various activities and programmes it offers, as well as the sports that are practised there. This is all part of their efforts to promote sports tourism in the Emirate of Sharjah.
