Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) concluded its participation in the World Travel Market London 2024, held from November 5 to 7. The participation was organized under the umbrella of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, along with other government entities in the emirate. The delegation was led by Mohammed Ali bin Hamad, Director of the Government Communication Department, with members including Mariam Ali Shaheel, Head of Marketing and Promotion in the Government Communication Department, and Hafsa Abdullah Al Ali, Head of Public Services in the Support Services Department.
The council's pavilion hosted several visits and fruitful meetings. His Excellency Mansour Abu Houl, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the United Kingdom, visited the pavilion, praising its exhibits and listening to an explanation about the council's role in the emirate, as well as its plans and annual programs. He was briefed on major international events organized by the council, such as the Sharjah International Cycling Tour and the Formula Boat Race, and also received information about the Officiating Program, which is the latest initiative launched by the council.

Mohammed Ali bin Hamad emphasized the importance and benefits of participation, stating that international communication opens wide avenues for coordination and cooperation with entities, institutions, and companies working in the fields of promotion and marketing. It also provides a direct platform to showcase the capabilities and attributes of Sharjah in organizing various sporting and non-sporting events. He noted that visitors to the pavilion learned about the council's activities and discovered Sharjah's tourist attractions through tournaments and events that promote tourism through the gateway of sports.
