Brigadier General Yousef bin Harmoul, Director of the Comprehensive Police Stations Department, explained that one of the most important reasons that lead to the theft is leaving the main entrance to the facility wide-open, leaving building materials, tools, and machinery without surveillance, or hiring workers violating the residency law.
He called on facility owners to take preventive measures that would limit the theft of under-construction sites by installing surveillance cameras, hiring a guard, installing a temporary surrounding barrier, and not purchasing any building materials except without receipt to avoid police investigation if the goods are illegal.
