DOH organises a workshop on stages of building a home

Sharjah24: Sharjah Housing Department (DOH) recently hosted a training workshop aimed at individuals interested in building their own homes. The workshop, titled "Stages of Building a Home," provided participants with valuable information and guidance on the necessary procedures for a successful home construction project. The workshop took place at the Sharjah Education Academy.
Engineer Abdullah Yousef Al Marzouqi, a civil engineer at DOH, stated that the Sharjah Housing Department recently held a training workshop for employees of the Sharjah government involved in construction projects. The workshop, titled "Stages of Housing Construction," aimed to familiarise participants with effective and reliable construction methods.

Al Marzouqi emphasised in exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24” that the workshop's purpose is to familiarise the public with the fundamental stages of construction, starting from the design phase all the way to implementation with the contractor. The goal is to enable owners to identify and rectify any errors in the procedures and construction. Additionally, participants gained valuable insights into the crucial role of architectural consultants in this process.

Engineer Fahd Hassan Al Ali, a civil engineer at DOH, shares valuable insights on selecting a contractor, emphasising its significance as the initial crucial step for individuals venturing into construction projects. He also highlights the importance of meticulous project planning. Participants were also familiarised with various types of finishes, which are crucial for individuals involved in construction projects.

During the workshop, Engineer Fahd Al Ali provided participants with helpful information on the costs of procedures and finishes. This knowledge will enable them to make decisions and create a well-designed home within a reasonable budget.
