Sharjah24: The Senior Citizens Services Centre, which visits older people in their homes to deliver a range of high-quality social, health, psychiatric, and rehabilitation services, is commemorating its 20th anniversary this year. The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) is commemorating the milestone.
The centre has made many qualitative advances and initiatives over the past two decades, and as a result, it is now able to provide a comprehensive range of services. These services include mobile units, training programmes for care providers, home nursing services, private transportation services for bedridden patients, medical needs for low-income people, and day care services.
In addition, the centre provides a variety of cutting-edge services, such as the "Mishwar" service, which helps older people with their errands, and the "Private Transportation" service, which helps individuals get to their medical appointments.
According to Kholoud Al Ali, the director of the centre, the centre's mission is to provide "five-star services" to senior citizens and to assist them in living lives that are marked by pleasure, contentment, and peace of mind.
